Summary: How to set up USENET news in Forte Free Agent.
Forte Free Agent is a very popular freeware program which gives access to the thousands of USENET news articles. Both easy and quick to setup, Free Agent has a number of useful facilities. It lets you browse newsgroups both on and off-line and allows particular messages to be downloaded later. Read our guide to see how to.
Setting up USENET in Forte Free Agent1. Open Free Agent. Click Options and choose General Preferences.
2. Click the System tab and enter these details:
3. Click the Dial-Up tab and tick the boxes as shown below.
4. Click the User tab.
5. Now connect to the Internet with your PlusNet connection. So that you can see the news available, click Online from the main Agent menu and choose Get New Groups. This will take a few minutes to complete. When it has finished you will see all the groups you can subscribe to with PlusNet.
5. To subscribe to one of the groups simply right click on it and choose Subscribe.
